Going though Trona, you notice that at least half of the homes are abandoned. Some have burned to the ground. Some are slowing disintegrating under the Searles Valley sun, and even the ones that haven't collapsed have piles of trash on the floors along with paneling that has fallen off. Most of the paneling has nails protruding which has to be avoided when looking for a camera shot.
This particular two story house once had a swimming pool and was very elegant in it's day. You can see the whole valley from the second floor windows, and just imagine what it was like long ago when people lived there.
